SEO Geeks to the rescue!

We use a bunch of software to monitor the performance of our site and our clients' sites.  

One of our SEO tools just sent an alert that 'SEO GEEKS' is a new organic keyword for us.  That means people are searching on 'SEO GEEK' and our site ranking #36 on Google.

There's not a lot of search volume on for this phrase.  Only 20 or so people per month in the United States.  But if you are here right now on this page,  then it worked!

So here are the takeaways:

1.  If your site starts ranking for a keyword phrase that you weren't targeting and if that keyword is relevant to the products and services you provide, then create a page that's engineered for that phrase.

2. So I created this landing page and added the keyword phrase 'SEO GEEKS' into the page title, the URL and the body content.  The purpose is to give the search engines more reason, i.e. relevant content, in order to promote the whole site even higher.

3.  In this way,  we can take advantage of the long tail of opportunity.  'SEO GEEKS' is not a a popular search,  but 20 new prospects per month is still good business.  Btw, here are 5 things every business owner should know about SEO.
